True to his Modus Operandi, Isildur1’s return to the high stakes tables on Full Tilt Poker have seen two huge wins followed by an even bigger loss. After lighting up a who’s who list of online poker including Justin Bonomo, Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies, Tom “durrrr” Dwan, and Brian Hastings in his first two days back at the nosebleed tables the mysterious online poker player from Sweden’s bankroll took a massive hit.

According to Highstakesdb.com, the day started with a short session with Tom Dwan that resulted in a $33,000 loss. Isildur1 followed this up with a rematch against Justin Bonomo, whom he relieved of some $550k a few days ago, but this time it was Bonomo getting the best of it and ending the battle up $233k.

Isildur1 in actionA couple of months ago a player known only as Isildur1 appeared from literally nowhere and began playing the biggest names in online poker at the highest stakes available.

In less than two weeks he had used his hyper-aggressive style to win over $5,000,000, most of it from Tom “durrrr” Dwan, but in roughly the same time he managed to lose the entire amount plus another $2,000,000 besides! His biggest loss occurred when he played Brian “Stinger” Hastings, a top Omaha player who makes poker video tutorials for the training site Cardrunners, and he bled around $4,200,000 to him in a single session!

Isildur1 then disappeared from the tables as quickly as he arrived, either taking time away to get over the shock of the roller coaster ride he had just endured or maybe to rebuild his shattered bankroll but in the past couple of weeks he has been spotted back online, Read the rest of this entry…

How hot is poker? Poker.org recently shattered the record for an .org domain, selling for $1 million. The previous high was $198,000 for engineering.org, a number blasted out of the water by the poker.org sale.

The domain was purchased by PokerCompany.com, a self-titled “Super Affiliate” that works in conjunction with online casinos, poker rooms, and websites. The site also operates such popular gaming portals as EveryPoker.com, BlackJack.org, Craps.net, and Rakeback.org.

The sale coincides with a trend in .org domain registrations, which saw an 11% increase in 2009. Couple this with a huge influx of poker sites, poker content sites, and Poker affiliates and you can see how the situation was right for solid online poker domain names to be worth big bucks.
