Most poker room rates require 4 hours of cash game play. Not everyone wants to do that every single day. Some just play tourneys. I’ve usually beat the poker room rates with the above. However, it can’t hurt to check, especially during peak seasons or if you plan on playing a lot of cash game poker.

I have no idea what Sheldon Adelson is thinking. He obviously has the funds to get involved in online gambling and it’s clear he has no moral opposition to gambling. It makes no sense for him to be against online gambling.

I mean, he’s clearly a huge hypocrite claiming to be morally opposed to online gambling, but there still has to be more to the story than that.

This is a good point, because we saw how fast Barney Frank ran away from online poker as soon as he was tied to PokerStars and Full Tilt money after Black Friday.

But the difference is in voting records; people can say whatever they please in Congress, but at the end of the day your votes speak for themselves.Up to this point in his career Mr. Barton simply has not been a friend of poker players.Frank has always advocated for Government to stay out of people’s private lives, and I’ve seen him bring up online gambling legislation in interviews without being prodded.

I sounds like someone has a bigger problem with the GOP then he has with online Poker being illegal for most Americans. I guess he had no problem that Barney Frank was connection to Freddie and Fanny before it was fell apart. And never asked the question to Barney Frank how much would you tax us? Because even if Barney Frank got us our Poker back, after taxes it might not look like anything like did and it might not look like anything anyone could ever make money one.

There were a number of high-stakes games going, but the highest action was straight NLHE from what I can tell –there was also a sizable PLO game going as well

Not sure why anyone would care? The OnGame network has pitiful traffic (<10% that of PokerStars, and half that of Party & Ipoker, going by PokerScout.com figures), second-rate software, and the heavily-criticised Essence rakeback system is a shady money-grab, throwing two fingers up to regular pro players that provide the site the most rake in the first place.

Will opening up a new skin change any of that? Will the Ongame ever learn from the examples set of the industry leading sites on how to run a poker site?
