EPTThe PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) has stopped in the Spanish city of Barcelona in every one of its 10 seasons, and every single time it has been one of the best-attended stops on the EPT tour. This year was no different, as the EPT Barcelona Main E vent shattered its previous attendance record (set last year) by nearly 150 players, as 1,230 players are registered for the tournament with the number still climbing – registration is still open until the start of Day 2.

Here is a look at the attendance numbers for the EPT Barcelona Main Event through the years as well as the past winners of the tournament from Wikipedia.org:

* 2005 (Season 2): 327 entries, winner Jan Boubli

* 2006 (Season 3): 480 entries, winner Bjorn-Erik Glenn

There aren’t too many big names at the top of the leader-board but some of the biggest names in poker are still alive and kicking in the tournament.
