D-Day Poker Live Starts Today

At the beginning of March D-Day Poker announced plans to host a Live Linked Poker Tournament across Ireland, well it all kicks-off tomorrow night Friday 1st April.

Events will be running all across Ireland in poker clubs, pubs and bars, and there will also be two events in London, with the Rounder’s Card Club and the Big Bluff at Lea Valley participating. The tournament has a buy-in of €60 and starts at 9.00PM tomorrow night with Day 1 and a field in the region of 2,000 players is expected to take part, and has a quick format with just 20 minute blinds. A starting stack of 8,000 chips will be used and play will come to a halt at each venue when there is just 25% of the field left in play, so for example if there is a field of 100 players when there are 25 left play will stop.

All remaining players will meet up for the next part of the tournament at the end of May, Spring Bank Holiday Weekend, and come together for Day 2 at the National Event Centre in Killarney, where blinds will begin at 200-400 and the clock will be extended to 40 minutes per level. There will be no direct buy-in available for Day 2.

The total prize pool is estimated in the region of €100,000 so is well worth taking part, and all is not lost if you do not make it through tomorrow night, because all Day 1 players that do not make it through can play a series of online events starting on Friday 8th April at IrishEyesPoker.com.

A great inventive idea from D-Day Poker and accessible to most people due to the relatively small buy-in. If you are in Ireland or near the clubs in London and have not yet registered do so now.
