Ladbrokes Poker Review
Ladbrokes is one of the biggest names in UK sports-betting and is quickly becoming one of the biggest names in online gaming, hosting everything from sports-betting, to casino games, to online poker under their banner. The long-standing UK company has an impeccable reputation and has been steadily expanding its reach when it comes to online poker in recent years. Ladbrokes currently operates on the Microgaming Poker Network, where they are one of the network’s flagship sites.
Ladbrokes, and the Microgaming Poker Network, were also the first places in the online poker world to offer Anonymous Tables, and have expanded the number of Anonymous Poker tables since introducing them in late 2010.
Overall, Ladbrokes does an excellent job of balancing their product so it’s appealing to both recreational players and professional poker players, offering a solid software platform, good promotions, and a safe, secure, place to play online poker.
Unfortunately, Ladbrokes does not accept players from the US.
TRAFFIC AND COMPETITION
The traffic at Ladbrokes, part of the Microgaming Poker Network, is solid considering the network is perennially in the Top 10 in traffic numbers, and the games at Ladbrokes are considered some of the softest on the Internet –partly due to the huge swath of sports-bettors who make their way over to the site’s online poker tables.
Another major factor in the excellent fish-to-shark ratio at Ladbrokes has to do with the site’s focus on recreational poker players (evidenced by the Anonymous Tables as well as the Network’s insistence that site’s not cater to high-volume rakeback players), so even though players may find slightly better offers at some other poker rooms, they will be hard-pressed to find easier games, which lead to far more money in the long-run.
The Microgaming software employed at Ladbrokes doesn’t have the unique features and flashy graphics of some other online poker rooms, but the software is highly functional, runs smoothly, and is easy to use. As far as features go, Ladbrokes offers many of the things poker players have grown accustomed to like Multi-tabling options, hand histories and a hand replayer, and even a mini-table feature.
One interesting aspect of the Ladbrokes software is the “Raked Hands” counter in the lobby, which helps players keep track of their VIP Program level; Ladbrokes is one of the few online poker rooms that has this feature.
Ladbrokes has always offered one of the more unique deposit bonuses in online poker: Recently they offered a bonus that awarded bonus dollars based on the number of Frequent Player Points earned, not on the amount deposited, and currently at Ladbrokes if you make at least a £5 deposit you will receive a 250% bonus on your first deposit.
Ladbrokes VIP Program is just as player friendly as their deposit bonus, considering the site offers up to a 30% Cash Loyalty Bonus (10% in poker dollars such as tournament entries, and 20% as money deposited directly into your poker account). To be eligible for this 30% Cash Loyalty Program a player must earn 10,000 FPP’s in a month.
Ladbrokes also offers players who achieve this status entry into exclusive freerolls and invitations to live sporting events.
Players at Ladbrokes Poker will also find a number of other promotions ranging from fun Twitter competitions to Sit & Go Point Races and virtually everything in between.
Poker players at Ladbrokes will find a wide selection of deposit and withdrawal options to choose from. There withdrawal process is considered extremely fast and also offers players a good selection of options. Here is a look at the different deposit options available at Ladbrokes Poker:
- Money Orders
- Bank Drafts
- Cashier Checks
- Personal Checks
- Bank Wire Transfer
- Western Union
