In a press release Party Poker announced the signing of Kara Scott as the newest addition to Team Party Poker. The High Stakes Poker host will join other poker personalities like Mike Sexton –commentator for the World Poker Tour—as ambassadors for the site.

Scott’s deal includes buy-ins to major poker tournaments around the globe, as well as hosting duties. The native Canadian will likely play numerous Canadian Poker Tour events in an effort to help promote the Party Poker brand.
As well as her media credentials, Scott is also a very accomplished poker player with a strong resume that includes over $500,000 in live tournament winnings:

* Cashed in two consecutive WSOP Main Events
* Runner-up in the Irish Poker Open
* Won the Party Poker Sports Star Challenge III

Perhaps her greatest asset to Party Poker is her tremendous following, Kara has over 1,600 followers on Twitter, and will have a featured blog on the Party Poker website.
