Victor “Isildur1” Blom returned to the online poker tables at PokerStars this past weekend, and in the process managed to win more in a single weekend than any other poker player at the site has won all year, save one, Ilari “Ilari_Fin” Sahamies. Overall Blom collected roughly $1.5 million in his weekend sessions, playing in a variety of different PLO games against virtually every high-stakes regular at the site according to the tracking site highstakesdb.com.

The Team PokerStars Pro has been curiously absent from the site over the past three months, with neither Blom nor PokerStars (one of the Top Poker Sites) making a public statement regarding the young phenom’s three-month hiatus. His absence led many to believe that Blom and Stars had a falling out, which seems not to be the case now that he is back at the site.

Among the players that Blom decimated this weekend were Brian “aba20″ Towsend ($180k), “Fake Love888″ who is rumored to be none other than former Team Full Tilt Poker Pro Patrik Antonius ($110k), Phil “MrSweets26″ Galfond ($130k), and the anonymous “VietRussian” who Blom ravaged for hundreds of thousands over multiple sessions this weekend.

The huge upswing has Blom sitting right behind Ilari Sahamies for the yearly lead at PokerStars; Blom now has nearly $1.9 million in profits for the year while Sahamies is sitting on a $2.2 million haul for 2011 according to highstakesdb.com.

As always the question is whether Blom will be able to hang on to his seven-figure score long enough to enjoy it!
