If you haven’t already joined the largest US-facing online poker network now is definitely the time to do so, as the Merge Gaming Network has announced they will be ending rakeback for all new sign-ups beginning on June 1, 2011.

Current Merge Gaming Network players with rakeback deals will be grandfathered in, and will continue to receive rakeback, as will any new players who join one of the Merge Gaming Network sites before June 1, 2011 –Lock Poker being one of the most popular choices thanks to their reputation, promotions, and the fact that they pay rakeback directly into your account daily.

So even if you don’t plan on playing a lot of online poker it still makes sense to join a site like Lock Poker so you will receive rakeback when you do decide to hit the online poker tables in the future.

In lieu of rakeback Merge will be revamping its VIP Rewards Program, but even the highest volume players will not be able to earn enough cash-back from the VIP Program to offset the 35% rakeback that is currently being offered at select Merge Gaming Network sites like Lock Poker.

With Black Friday forever altering the online poker industry this may be the last chance for US players to receive a rakeback deal from a reputable online poker site, and when you receive a rakeback deal from sites like Lock Poker the deal is forever! You will receive 35% rakeback at Lock Poker as long as you play there.
