Monday Headlines: Galfond talks degens, Poker Maximus and more
Our weekly look at the top headlines from the weekend, and this week there was plenty of stories going on in the world of poker. This weekend saw everything from a new blog by Phil Galfond, to an artist’s rendition of the Steve Wynn proposed casino in Foxborough, Massachusetts, as well as an update on the Poker Maximus tournament series running on the Merge Gaming Network.
Phil Galfond weighs in on “owing” and “debts” in the poker world
In his latest blog post Phil Galfond tackled the topic of poker players and debts. The topic has been receiving a lot of attention in the poker world after the revelation on 2+2 that Erick Lindgren owed numerous people money from Fantasy Sports betting , including an insane amount to professional sports-bettor Haralabos “Bob” Voulgaris.
Galfond only touches on E-Dog in the post (since he says he doesn’t know him well enough to comment) and spends most of the time explaining how these debts get accrued and warning young players about the types of people to avoid in the poker world.
