New face at the high-stakes tables on PokerStars up big

Another online poker player has come out of nowhere to start challenging some of the best players in the world at the $25/$50 PLO tables on PokerStars this past week, and not only is the anonymous player who goes by the screen-name “JayP-AA” holding his/her own, he/she is actually crushing the games having won over a quarter of million dollars in just a few sessions!

The first player to have a go at “JayP-AA” was $25/$50 regular “The Goott” who took a beating at the hands of the highly-aggressive newcomer, and ended up losing some $150,000 according to the online tracking website pokertableratings.com.

Next up was a more familiar name, as “JayP-AA” showed no fear –or perhaps recklessness– by taking on arguably the best online poker player in the world in Daniel Cates, better known by his Full Tilt Poker screen-name of “jungleman12”, but who plays under the moniker “w00ki3z” at PokerStars. Although Cates only played the newcomer for some 300 hands he did find out that “JayP-AA” was no pushover as the anonymous player who came out of nowhere bested Cates for over $50k in that period of time.

We’ll have to wait and see if “JayP-AA” is yet another player in the long-line of players who have come out of the shoot red hot only to go busto down the road, or if he is perhaps the next big thing in online poker; only time will tell.
