The PartyPoker Bad Beat jackpot has been won with the winner scooping close on $500,000. Not bad going that for losing a hand!

The winner (if you catch my drift) was PRAETORIANER, who lost with a hand of quad tens. He won a cool $479,101 for losing the hand, while the hand winner ROL007, won $239,550 for his Royal Flush. The other seven players involved in the hand were all paid $34,221. Not a bad pay day for all involved.

If you are not sure about the PartyPoker Bad Beat Jackpot, I will try and explain it to you here. 50 cents is collected from every raked hand played on a Bad Beat Jackpot table, so the more you play the Jackpot will grow. PartyPoker have more than 100 tables to play on, and the Jackpot increases in the region of $1,000 every hour. In the lobby of PartyPoker the Jackpot ticker is available for you to see. The Jackpot will be 70% of the total shown, the other 30% is distributed out in the following way. 20% will be used to seed the next Jackpot and the other 10% will be taken by PartyPoker as an administration fee.

The other 70%  will be paid out to the players as follows. 50% goes to the loser of the Bad Beat hand, 25% will go to the winner of the hand, and the remaining 25% will be split between the other players involved in the hand.
