PokerStars running a $27 million December promotion

For 22 days in December PokerStars will be handing out some $27 million in guaranteed tournament prize-pools and cash-game promotions in what the site is calling the December Festival.

Contained inside the promotion is the inaugural three-day WCOOP Challenge Series that will hand out $10 million in guaranteed prize-money all by itself.

New Jersey overtakes Nevada in total traffic

Over the long Holiday Weekend the collection of online poker rooms in New Jersey blew past Nevada in terms of overall traffic according to www.pokerscout.com.

Leading the way is Party Poker, with an average of 150 players online, and peak traffic exceeding 400 players. WSOP New Jersey is a relatively close second, with traffic numbers of 120 and around 300 during peak hours, while the AAPN and Ultimate Poker NJ are still struggling to gain a foothold with just a few dozen players sitting at their tables.

Skrill becomes first eWallet to accept online gaming wagers in New Jersey

Pokerfuse.com is reporting that Skrill is now a deposit option for online gamblers in New Jersey at both TropicanaCasino.com and VirginCasino.com –both sites are run by the combination of the Tropicana and their partner Gamesys.

Several eWallets have received approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, including Neteller and PaySafeCard, but it was Skrill that was the first to process online gaming transactions.
