Poker enthusiasts rejoice as The Micros returns with Episode 2

The satirical animated series created by Cardrunners’ John “JimmyLegs” Wray and Deuces Cracked’s Jay “Krantz” Rosenkrantz, The Micros released the second episode of the series on Monday; titled Play Poker Like the Rose. The poker world has been clamoring for more of the misadventures of the three fictitious micro-stakes friends who manage to win over $1 million in a big online tournament, and in Episode 2 we see the next chapter in the story of Tommy, Chase, and Rose.

Rosenkrantz and Wray released a short Holiday Episode during the holidays that had the three players trying to figure out what to do with their newfound riches, and even talking to a virtual Erik Seidel about sponsorship deals, and in Episode 2 the trio was still working out the proper way to proceed. That is until the plot takes a harsh twist and the friends must overcome some real adversity.

Like their other episodes there is a lot of poker parlance throughout the episode –my favorite being “plus one”—and some well placed items like a piggy bank with the words “Sklansky Bucks” written on the side.

While Episode 2 was well produced and funny, in my opinion it fell short of the Pilot episode, but that bar was set very, very, high.
