party poker software updateWith online poker players raising their hands in frustration as poker sites are being shutdown and having their licenses pulled, Party Poker has come up with an innovative reason to join one of the most popular, and 100% legal, online poker rooms in the world by eliminating all tournament fees at the site for a limited period of time.

Expect a huge increase in the number of players registering for multi-table tournaments at Party Poker in the coming days with the announcement of their new policy that will eliminate all tournament fees/rake for n as yet unspecified period of time. This new policy will increase the overall prize-pools for tournaments by up to 10%, which will drastically increase the +EV for tournament players.

A spokesman for Party Poker stated the following in a press release announcing the new MTT policy:

“In an industry first, all MTT’s [multi-table tournaments] on are completely rake free. As the rake free period applies to ALL MTT tournaments – qualifiers for events such as WPT Paris and GSOP Manchester also have new structures which incorporate no fees.”

“Fees being waived on MTT’s is just another reason why there has never been a better time to play at in a secure environment where prompt payments are guaranteed whether you are a micro or high stakes player. We will continue this outstanding value promotion for as long as we can – we are already pleased with the positive response to this move we have seen from the poker community.”

Tournaments at Party Poker will now see all fees added to the prize-pool –if a tournament cost $100+$10 only $100 would go toward the prize-pool, while the $10 in fees would go directly to Party Poker; now the entire $110 will go directly into the prize-pool!
