On Monday 14th August, PokerStars announced that they have teamed up with the fastest man on the planet, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt to promote the site’s new turbo-paced Zoom Poker offering.

Bolt has been brought on board as the latest celebrity endorser for the top poker website which has been recently trying to expand their name through athletes and celebrities, such as footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.

The charismatic and exuberant sprinter has been placed alongside the opening of the first ever celebrity branded tables in company history, named the Zoom Usain Bolt edition. These particular tables are the normal Zoom tables but they are linked to a series of promotional rewards running from now up until the end of September, with players now having the ability to win up to $15,000.

Zoom poker is a version of fast-fold poker put forward by PokerStars. It allows quicker folding of hands at any stage in order to move onto another hand at another table with Zoom players, which will be done so randomly.

“It is a non-stop poker game which is fun and competitive. I hope everyone enjoys it,” stated the Olympic gold champion in a PokerStars press release. “I’m very excited to bring my special edition of Zoom to my fans.”

Bolt has been doing some expanding of his own in terms of his fanbase as he has recently been included in the upcoming Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 video game, he says he is happy to get recognition in all shapes and sizes.
