If you are one of those poker players that has always wanted to vacation in the Bahamas and play a game of poker, then the 2018 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) is the place to be. The 2018 PCA will be one the first major tournaments to kick-start the New Year and will take place at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort from Jan 6 to 14.

PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Back In 2018

PokerStars has dropped the popular PCA in 2017 and substituted it with its new PokerStars Championship Bahamas that was entirely different from the usual PCA format that poker players had grown to love over the years. The 2017 PokerStars Championship Bahamas had as many as 98 events when compared to the usual 25-30 events that the PCA used to have. PokerStars also decided to scrap the popular $10,300 Main Event which was the highlight of the PCA and replace it with a $5,300 Main Event.

Players did not like the 2017 PokerStars Championship Bahamas and wasted no time in letting PokerStars know that they were not happy with the new format. PokerStars has introduced numerous changes over the last couple of years to its policies, tournament formats and reward systems that has also not gone down well with the players but the company has shrugged off player feedback stating that the new changes would help grow the game of poker and increase the brand’s presence and it would take time for players to accept these changes.

However when players expressed their unhappiness over the removal of the PCA, PokerStars decided to listen to their feedback and reinstate the PCA for 2018. The company has confirmed that it will also introduce the popular $10,300 Main Event and limit the number of events to around 30. PokerStars has also introduced a ‘Road to the Bahamas’ plan which enables poker players to qualify online and win a full package to the 2018 PCA.

Six Ways To Win A PCA Package

The PCA package includes a buy-in to the $10,300 Main Event, a deposit of $1,000 into the players PokerStars account, $3,000 in hotel room accommodation at the Atlantis and another $1,000 in credits for players to spend at the Atlantis. PokerStars has provided players as many as six ways to qualify for the 2018 PCA and win one of these PCA packages.

Players will be able to qualify via $55 MTT Satellite Events, Daily Cash Game Challenges, Spin & Go Qualifiers, Weekly Spin & Go Challenges, Sit-n-Go Super-Satellites and Stars Rewards. To find out more information on how to qualify, do visit the PokerStars website.
