Full Tilt Poker Add Mortensen To Sponsored Players
The poker community is alive with rumors again today with the latest story been revealed as Full Tilt Poker have resigned Juan Carlos Mortensen to their sponsored professional player roster.
Although the move seems to have been completed out of the media spotlight, there is evidence that the player has rejoined forces with the worlds second biggest online poker room.
Mortensen, also known by his nickname “The Matador” has not made any announcement surrounding these rumors but recently the players name have been shown in the red of the professionals on the online poker room, leading to rumors and stories coming to light.
The player has taken a step back in recent years, taking his name out of the spotlight for a short while, reducing the amount of live tournaments that he plays in order to keep within the media shadows.
The 38 year old professional poker player took the 2001 World Series of Poker Main Event first prize and has since cemented himself with the title of the only player to have won both the World Series of Poker and the World Poker Tour championships.
Mortensen is no stranger to poker players all over the world, ranking 13th within the all time money list, with $8,894,713 in total career winnings during his time at the poker tables.
The player began playing poker after he was invited to sit into a game that a couple of guys had started playing in a club that he worked in. Sitting down at the table, he was soon $100 lighter and not one to let it lie, headed home to think about what he had done to cause the loss.
He returned the following day to double his money and break even over all, a few days after this incident the now poker professional decided that he was going to make poker his living.
