Jungleman12 follows OMGClayAiken to Canada

Earlier this week it came to light that Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond had moved to the great white north in order to continue to play online poker, and now it appears that another online poker legend, Daniel “jungleman12” Cates, will be following Galfond to Canada, and more specifically, will be taking up residence in the Vancouver area –which can now lay claim to two of the best online poker players of all-time!

Like Galfond, Cates made the announcement via his Twitter account, simply stating: “Leaving for Vancouver tomorrow, time to crush online again,” Despite having been cut-off from the online poker world since April 15th, Cates is still one of the biggest winners for the year according to www.highstakesdb.com. Now all we need is for Tom Dwan to relocate and perhaps the two can complete the durrrr Challenge match they started!

Cates will likely spend the bulk of his time playing under his “w00ki3z” screen-name at PokerStars, but will also have the option to play on other sites like Party Poker, or iPoker Network sites for the first time –of course with the current situation surrounding Full Tilt Poker we may have seen the last of the infamous “jungleman12” moniker at the online poker tables, unless Cates wants to revive it at another site.

It’s curious that both Galfond and Cates both settled on Vancouver as their Canadian landing points, and both announced their moves within a few days of each other –perhaps the two will be roommates in Canada???

Unfortunately for Cates his trip got off to a rough start, as he explained on his Twitter account:

“In a ridiculous twist, I have been deported from Canada for being an illegal immigrant… Going to Seattle tomorrow to try get a temporary visa,”

“Apparently I need a visa to play poker for a living in Canada? What the fuck? Anyone know about immigration laws there?”
