Full Tilt Poker and Deepstacks University Poker Pro Mike “The Mouth” Matusow was in Florida this week to host a DeepStacks Live poker training seminar, where he made a pretty non-controversial statement by his standards when he said: “In Florida, you’re dealing with a lot of raw players, and they’re terrible.”

Matusow also decided to take advantage of the newly lifted limit on the buy-in at poker tournaments throughout the State of Florida –the previous limit being $100—and decided to enter the $1,000 Florida Poker Championship. Not only did Matusow enter the tournament, but he proceeded to win the event and pocket $103,000!

With a strong turnout of 410 poker players the tournament went well beyond the guaranteed prize-pool of $250,000, which probably made Matusow’s win a little more worthwhile considering one of his Tweets stating: “Chip leader 925k 19 left if I play 3 days in a 1k buy in and don’t win I will be in morgue.”

And then in only the way that Mike Matusow can he finished off with this message about the rumors he hasn’t paid Ted Forrest over a $2 million prop bet: “To all you idiots digging into my finances Ted Forrest has been paid so go jerk off”.

Ahhh, gotta love Matusow!
