NBA star Tony Parker signs deal with French online poker room
The French online poker site Bet Clic has pulled off a major signing, but not from the poker world; instead they inked one of France’s best known athletes, NBA superstar Tony parker. The deal is reported to be for three years, and according to OnlinPoker.net, Parker joins Bet Clic’s growing stable of athletes, joining Marcel Desailly, Stefan Effenberg and Kiko Narvaez as French athletes representing the site.
Best known for leading the San Antonio Spurs to the NBA Championship in 2003, 2005, and 2007, Parker is also an avid poker player; as are many of the San Antonio Spurs which anyone who is friends with Mizrachi’s on Facebook will know all about.
Parker is married to Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, and has competed in the World Series of Poker, as well as numerous charity poker tournaments.
It’s unclear how the NBA will react to Parker association with an online poker and sportsbook site.
