Isildur1 Player Bio
Isildur1 is an online poker player that caused a stir within the online poker community during his time at the virtual poker tables of the worlds second largest online poker room, Full Tilt Poker.
Joining the online poker room in January 2009, the player began his time at the site under the radar, quickly moving through the stakes to be later found playing stakes as high as $500/$1000 against some of the worlds best online poker players such as poker professionals Phil Ivey and Tom ‘Durrrrr’ Dwan.
November 2009 saw the player hit a peak of performance, accumulating more than $5 million in online poker winnings during his sessions with some of the most feared names on the online poker scene.
Although the player was able to start to build a significant online poker bankroll, things soon changed for the online phantom player after a string of poor sessions saw him lose over $1 million in a matter of days at the site to players who were seeking revenge.
Even till this day, no one is exactly sure who the player behind the screen name really is and with the sense of mystery comes a whole new level of fear factor for a large amount of online poker players who also grace the tables at Full Tilt Poker.
Poor success seems to follow this player about like a lost puppy and with each large win seems to follow a period where he will lose a significant amount back to the players who he had already taken the funds from.
According to Full Tilt Poker professional roster player Patrik Antonius, the online player joined the site with little more than $2000 within his account but after building his funds up until September of that year, he launched his assault on the higher stakes tables, the place where you can find some of the more premium professionals strutting their stuff at the tables.
Until now, the phantom poker player has not been named nor has the player accepted challenges from some of the other high stakes players to join them in televised games which feature minimum buy in’s that make the online poker room’s top tournaments look like they are designed for players of beginner levels.
All that you need to know is that with a player not being able to be named, it can cause a great amount of fear for opponents, especially if you are taking funds from some of the best poker players in the world.
Patrik Antonius discussed the player with fellow professionals and have described the players as being “very dangerous”.
