Patrik Antonius Bio
Patrik Antonius is a professional poker player who originates from Finland who made the move into playing at the tables after spending a number of years of his life playing and teaching tennis.
The player made the move to playing poker with the help of a number of already established professional poker players, including mentoring from Marcel Luske and Jennifer Harman.
The player is known not only for his poker tournament results and participation but with the player finding success within a number of styles of poker, the professional has entered into real money cash games that carry high stakes.
Seen as a heads up poker specialist, the professional feels more at home when only facing off against one other opponent and with that firmly set in his mind, Antonius agreed to enter into a high stakes cash game against another young professional poker player Tom ‘Durrrr’ Dwan, agreeing to play a total of 60,000 poker hands against the young player in a game known as the ‘Durrrr Challenge’.
Antonius is reported to be feeling the heat during the challenge though with the player thought to be down between $1.5 – $1.9 million to his counterpart.
Although the player is expected to be down within the challenge, other successes are keeping the player comfortable in terms of finances, with the player banking more than $2,800,000 in just his tournament cashes.
Finally, Antonius made poker history recently, winning the biggest online poker pot that has ever been played during his online poker session with Full Tilt Poker phantom player Isildur1, winning a total of $1,356,946 on one single hand.
