Phil Ivey is considered to be the best poker player in the world at the present time and with a list of successes that helps back up the title that many have given to the US born professional.

Born out of Riverside, California Ivey moved to Las Vegas in a bid to keep close to the action but recent times at home have lead to the player and his wife filing for divorce which was granted in December 2009.
Being a successful poker player isn’t the only thing that has made Ivey one of the most loved poker players in the world, he is also known for giving money to a number of differing charities, giving over $50,000 to Empowered 2 Excel, a charity that is aimed at under privileged children.
Ivey started playing poker while working as a telemarketer in New Brunswick against co-workers and since then, the player has gone from strength to strength, perfecting his game to a level that has left other poker professionals running scared.
The player has continued his poker development and with his poker style been unlike any other poker player, Ivey has secured a total of seven first place finishes within the World Series of Poker, claiming prize money and winners bracelets from each victory.
Ivey isn’t just a tournament poker player either, with a versatile approach to his game, the player excels in a number of styles of poker including heads up poker, a form of poker that really places the player in a field of his own.
