Praz Bansi
Pramesh “Praz” Bansi is a 32 year old two time World Series of Poker bracelet winner. Praz is originally from London and actually spent a while of his young adult life working as a recruiting consultant. After playing for a while to kill time at work he discovered his poker ability it didn’t take him long to quit his job and start playing full time. Praz then focused on building his bankroll to the point where he could move to Las Vegas. Praz has continued to be successful throughout his poker career and has proved he is not a one trick pony.
Praz managed to win his first World Series of Poker bracelet in 2006 where he took down the 1k no limit holdem event taking home a nice 230k prize for his troubles. Since then he has managed to cash in every World Series of Poker since 2006. His second WSOP bracelet came in 2010 where he took down another 1.5k no limit holdem event for 515,501k first place prize. Though these are unarguably Praz’s two crowning achievements in his poker career he has been consistently successful in a number of prestigious poker tournaments.
Bansi plays tournaments around the world including large events in the UK and the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Bansi use to be a regular in the Gutshot Poker Club which is based in London before he moved to Vegas. Praz has been recognised by the poker community and in 2009 he was named Poker Player Magazine’s UK player of the year. Praz’s lifetime live tournament winnings exceed a massive 2.3 million dollars. $1.4 million of his lifetime winnings have come from WSOP events which is quite obviously one of his favourite tournament series.
