Tom ‘Durrrr’ Dwan Bio
Tom Dwan is a young American professional poker player who can be found playing both on and offline poker, with his chosen online poker room being Full Tilt Poker.
The player is regularly found within the high stakes of the site under the username of ‘Durrrr’, locking horns with some of the worlds biggest online poker users and other large profile professionals such as Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey.
Dwan started playing poker playing online with a $50 credit that was given to him by his dad for his 17th birthday. Opting to play under the username ‘Durrrr’ was down to the player feeling that opponents that lost to him while he was using the name would place them on tilt.
Dwan has created a huge reputation for himself over recent years within the online poker community, winning more high profile games and tournaments against some of the bigger names in the poker scene.
Looking at statistics that can be found on HighStakesDB.com, an online website that tracks the earnings and successes of online poker players, Dwan has seen huge steps in profit generation during his time on Full Tilt Poker.
The information reveals that in 2007, Dwan was able to win $312,000, which would be enough for a large number of poker players but with Dwan being the type of player he is, he studied that game and the statistics show that in 2008 the player generated more than $5 million in poker bankroll.
The young poker player recently created ‘Durrrr Challenge’ a heads up ring game that consists of him and any other poker player who can front the funding locking horns over a total of 60,000 hands.
With the first challenge coming close to an end, reports claim that Dwan is more than $1.5 million in profit.
