Another online poker site is apparently running afoul of their regulator, as well as their poker network, as the MicroGaming Poker Network released a statement today stating that 24 Poker has had its license revoked by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and that the site is now offline.

Players looking for details about the revocation of 24 Poker’s license will have to wait, as MicroGaming and the KGC have been unable to directly contact the 24 Poker management and ownership team –a very bad sign.

24 Poker wasn’t simply a fly-by-night online poker site either: The site has been in existence since 2004, and has had a very good track-record up to this point.

Here is a look at the statement released by Microgaming:

“Microgaming today announced that all game play on the 24 Poker website has been blocked due to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission suspending 24 Poker’s gaming license. Both Microgaming and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission have tried without success to contact the 24 Poker Management Team. Further announcements will be made as additional information becomes available.

“Operated by the Stanley, County Durham company BPR Services Limited in the United Kingdom, 24Poker has been licensed by the KGC since 2004 according to the Commission’s website. Its licence was not due to expire until end January 2012.

“The KGC has additionally advised that the licence of Blue Cactus Enterprises was revoked on November 16 for failure to pay its licensing fees. The revocation affects the online gambling websites Kong88.com and Live Gambler.com.”
