ub pokerIf you want to understand the online poker wars just look back in time to the airline wars, where competing airlines simply offered the same promotion and just kept trying to outdo one another. The latest example is the Cereus Network’s ‘Power Hour’ promotion.

Beginning December 1st, Absolute Poker and UB Poker have instituted ‘Power Hour’ where players will earn double frequent player points at designated times –A promotion that is extremely similar to Full Tilt’s wildly successful ‘Happy Hour’.
Absolute Poker and UB’s ‘Power Hour’ will take place between 1AM and 4AM, and 1PM and 4PM Monday through Sunday, and on Sundays ring game players will receive double points from 1AM to 5AM.
The promotion has been announced as a permanent addition to the Cereus Network’s promotional lineup, a terrific promotion to help UB and Absolute Poker with player retention, which could be incredibly important if UIGEA is repealed and the online poker market is flooded with new –albeit old—competition.
