Yes, we know the picture is bigger than usual, BUT IT’S AMANDA LEATHERMAN!

Bodog has always been the nonconformist of the online poker world, and this is no more evident than in their choices of sponsored players. Bodog apparently dismisses the idea that signing the top players in the poker world will bring in more players, instead taking the line that signing beautiful young poker personalities is a surefire way to increase traffic to the site.

The current Bodog roster only includes two players: Poker pro Evelyn Ng, and poker presenter and sometimes player Tatjana Pasalic. On Tuesday Bodog added a third member to their team, Amanda Leatherman. Leatherman is by far the most well-known of the trio having handled a number of high-profile hostess jobs in poker, including her most recent stint as the host of the PokerStars.net Big Game.

Leatherman may not have any statistics when it comes to playing poker –her single $3k cash in the 2008 WSOP Ladies Championship being the highlight of her poker resume—but she has proven herself to have a solid understanding of the poker world itself, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise since she has been linked romantically to both Joe Sebok and Daniel Negreanu in the past.

In regards to her new deal with Bodog Leatherman stated, “The Bodog life and my own are scarily similar. I can’t wait to do the Bodog photo shoot. I’ll be posting those shots on my facebook as soon as I have them but in the meantime I’ll see you all at the tables, both live and online.”

It’s unclear how Bodog will deploy their sponsored players at major tournaments, perhaps sending them in as a reporting team, or perhaps testing their poker abilities by fronting their buy-ins. Regardless, Bodog has two of the top online poker forum talked about poker personalities in Pasalic and Leatherman.
