As we announced on PokerNewsBoy.com earlier this week, Isabelle Mercier has left PokerStars as a sponsored player. Fresh off her announcement that she would be leaving Team PokerStars to pursue other interests, Isabelle Mercier has signed with BetClick Poker.

BetClick is better known for its sports-betting operation, but has decided to take the next step in its poker business. The signing of the well-known Mercier gives the site an instant advertising campaign with one of the world’s most recognized –and photogenic—poker personalities.

With Mercier on board, it will be interesting to see how the fledgling poker room is able to compete for the new markets springing up across Europe. Having a popular sports-book has always been a key way for sites to drive traffic to their poker-rooms, and BetClick has gone the extra mile by signing Isabelle “No Mercy” Mercier.
