PokerStars unveils new software upgrades

Players at the world’s largest online poker site, PokerStars, were recently greeted with the “New Software Update Available” pop-up when they logged on at the site, and unlike most software upgrades this one had a lot of meat on its bones!

PokerStars lists no less than 10 upgrades from the latest software update on their site:

1. Session Options –Players can now access the session options directly from each table, instead of having to go through the lobby.
2. Auto Buy-in – Players will now instantly buy-in for a pre-determined amount after clicking on “Seat Open”.
3. Seat Me Button – Players can now be automatically seated at a table from the lobby
4. Stack Layout – Players can now ‘Stack’ all their tables in addition to ‘Tiling’ or ‘Cascading’.
5. Average Stack – A new column in the lobby now informs you of the average stack size of the players at the table.
6. No Chat – Players can now inform their opponents that they have lost their chat privileges in the table tooltips.
7. Advanced Action Check – The advanced action check button has been slightly moved in order to avoid misclicks that can occur due to the old proximity with the call button.
8. Link to Last Hand – Players now have access to the previous hand when the dealing stops.
9. Notes Reliability – Players will no longer lose any notes they may have taken should PokerStars be closed down unconventionally.
10. Tournament Tickets Dialogue – The lobby window will now show all tournaments that accept a specific tournament ticket.
