Lock Poker sponsored player roster continues to grow

On Friday Lock Poker announced the signing of its newest member to their sponsored player roster known as Team LockPRO Elite: Spanish sensation, and last woman standing in the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event Leo Margets.

The signing of Margets comes on the heels of the Lock Poker securing the services of one of the best known online poker players in the history of the game in Chris “Moorman1” Moorman. Moorman has over $7 million in career online tournament earnings, and has transferred his online poker success into live poker success in 2011, having final tabled the Aussie Millions Main Event and winning over $1 million in prize-money at the 2011 WSOP.

Besides her deep run in the 2009 Main Event, which earned the aesthetically pleasing Margets plenty of TV time on the ESPN coverage, she has since put together a fairly impressive poker resume including a win in the Full Tilt Masters Series held last year in Spain. Overall Margets has earned just north of $650 in live tournaments during her short career, and is one of the best-known faces in Spanish Poker.

The news first broke on Twitter when Margets agency, Poker Royalty broke the news: “

Happy to announce @Poker_Royalty client @LeoMargets has signed a sponsorship deal to become newest member of the Lock Poker PRO ELITE team.”

The former 888 Poker Pro had this to say after the announcement: “I am also super proud to be part of a family with so extraordinary players, this new era that now starts is a huge motivation for me!! I am looking forward representing Lock in all over the world!”

Lock Poker CEO Jennifer Larson added, “Leo is a dream come true for Lock! She is brilliant, driven, incredibly talented and a represents the brand perfectly. Having Leo join the team is just another step towards truly becoming the best online poker brand in the world.”

In addition to the 17 members of LockPRO Elite (the pinnacle of Lock Poker’s sponsorship deals), there are 16 other sponsored players at Lock Poker. Other well-known members of Team LockPRO Elite include Matt Stout, Eric Lynch, Brett “Gank” Jungblutt, Stevie Devlin, Casey “bigdogpckt5s” Jarzabek, and BLUFF Pro Challenge winner Michael “bigguylegend22” Drummond.

With their recent signing of Jarzabek, Margets, Drummond, UK pro Nicky Evans, and most importantly Moorman, Lock Poker has one of the strongest contingents of poker pros in the industry in the aftermath of Black Friday, trailing only PokerStars in terms of star-power amongst their sponsored players.
