The 260 players that began the 2011 PokerStars APPT Melbourne Main Event has been pared down to just 37 players at the end of the second day of play. Near the top of the leader-board is Australian poker pro James Obst, who is currently sitting in second place on the leader-board with 452,900 chips. However, the entire field is looking up at the massive chip-leader, Phillip Wilcocks, who is sitting on a huge stack of 770,400 chips!

A few other notable names still in the running include Tony Hachem, fresh off a deep run in the WSOP Main Event and another well-known Aussie pro in Van Marcus. Here is a look at the Top 10 chip counts heading into Day 3 of the tournament:

1. Phillip Willcocks — 770,400

2. James Obst — 452,900

3. Koray Turker — 424,400

4. Keiran Harris — 389,000

5. Norah Greer — 382,000

6. Luke Edwards — 356,100

7. Marcus Lau — 317,400

8. Julius Colman — 315,400

9. Jackson Zheng — 281,800

10. Antonis Kambouroglou — 279,200

Day 3 will see the remaining field first burst the money bubble (set to take place when 28 players remain) before playing down to the final table of eight players, with that group set to return for the final day of the tournament.
