The Circus Casino at the Star City Complex in Birmingham is the place to be this September, as Genting have today announced details for this years Players Championships.

A prizepool in the region of £85,000 is expected for the second running of this event, and Genting are hoping to beat last years numbers when play gets under way on 24th September. A spokesperson from Genting had the following to say regarding this years event. “The 2011 Genting Poker Players Championship promises to be even better than last year’s with a bigger field, better structure and more added value prizes and events. Attracting 305 players last year, the level of early interest indicates a record field will sit down this year!”

The buy-in for this years Championship has been frozen at last years price of £150 + £15, and all players will start with a stack of 8,000 chips. But there is a twist. For players that qualify or buy-in online, and generate £5 in rake or tournament fees, they will have the added advantage of an extra 2,000 chips.

The winner of this years event will walk away with a five figure sum, but they will also be rewarded with a seat worth £1,500 in to the Palm Beach Big Game. You can qualify for this event from as little as £2.75,  and satellites are already up and running at GentingPoker.com.

Dominic Kay was the winner last year and he won £12,000 and the seat to the Palm Beach Big Game, so if you have a date free in your diary for the end of September grab yourself a seat now.
