PokerNews.com is reporting 9 confirmed players for the 2010 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship. The highly popular tournament pits 64 of the top poker talents and personalities in poker in a series of heads-up elimination matches.

NBC has confirmed 6 players: Included in the field are NHUPC mainstays Huck Seed (last year’s champion), Chris Ferguson, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, and Daniel Negreanu, as well as 2009 WSOP Champion Joe Cada.

The sponsor for the tournament is once again GoDaddy.com, which makes Vanessa Rousso –a GoDaddy girl herself—a lock to be in the tournament. And Pokernews.com is reporting that Annette Obrestad, Peter Eastgate, and Jesper Hougaard have confirmed their entries in the event.

The NHUPC will likely contain some big names from the sports or entertainment world as well, with past participants like Jason Alexander, Brad Garrett, Orel Hershiser, and Don Cheadle. The tournament will begin March 4th and run through the 7th.
