Yesterday we updated you on a number of poker events, including the Aussie Million, the Million Dollar Heater tournament series in Biloxi, Mississippi, and the World Series of Poker Circuit stop at Caesar’s Palace. Today we’ll revisit the WSOPC Caesar’s Palace Main Event where the field played down to a winner last night, check-in on the IPT San Remo Main Event which also concluded yesterday, and preview the upcoming PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) stop in Deauville, France.

WSOP Circuit Series Caesar’s Palace

Yesterday 15 players returned to the poker tables at Caesar’s Palace to determine the winner of the 2012 WSOPC Caesar’s Palace Championship which comes with a nearly $200k prize. PokerStars Italian Poker Tour (IPT) San Remo

One of the brightest stars of 2011 is continuing his successful run in 2012 as Oleksii Kovalchuk absolutely dominated the action at the PokerStars IPT San Remo Main Event according to the PokerStarsBlog.it (translation needed!).

In his short career, Dating back to February 2011, Kovalchuk has won a Russian Poker Tour tournament (for $123k), a World Series of Poker bracelet (for $689k), finished 3rd in the Partouche Poker Tour Main Event (for $518k), and now has TWO Italian Poker Tour titles to his credit (in 2011 he won the IPT Nova Gorica and now the IPT San Remo in 2012).

In less than a full year on tour Kovalchuk has booked nearly $2 million in tournament earnings! Truly one of the young players to watch in the game.
