Sam Trickett leads Epic Poker ME heading into Day 3

When Matt Graham was eliminated in 19th place late Wednesday night, the 18 remaining players in the Epic Poker League Main Event are all guaranteed at least $43k in prize-money. But considering the caliber of the field, having come this far, and with a potential Million Dollar payday on the line, the $43k score is assuredly not what any of the players left are gunning for.

Leading the way into Day 3 of the EPL Main Event is Team Titan Poker Pro Sam Trickett, who was the only player managed to crack the 1 million chip mark –in fact nobody else is even close, with Hasan Habib sitting in second place on the leader-board with 700k in chips.

Here is a look at the Top 10 chip counts after two full days of play:

1. Sam Trickett – 1,028,000

2. Hasan Habib – 702,500

3. Jason Mercier – 607,000

4. Adam Levy- 533,000

5. Isaac Baron – 529,000

6. Matt Glantz – 477,000

7. Erik Seidel – 454,000

8. Eugene Katchalov – 396,000

9. Hoyt Corkins – 316,000

10. Gavin Smith – 315,000

A couple of other notable names will be entering Day 3 on life support, as former WSOP Main Event Champion Huck Seed has just 93,500 chips in his stack, while online legend Justin Bonomo is super-short, with just 43k in front of him.

Two of the players who have cashed in the premiere Epic Poker League Main Event qualified in the Pro/Am earlier this week: Victory Poker CEO Dan Fleyshman and Brandon Myers.
