Scott Stanko wins the WSOPC Council Bluffs

Scott Stanko is now $100k richer after winning the latest World Series of Poker Circuit Series Main Event in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Stanko bested a field of 290 players to win the $1,600 buy-in Main Event after defeating WSOPC regular Charles “Woody” Moore in an epic 2-hour long heads-up battle.

Belgium’s Vandermissen dominant in Ireland

Lock Poker may have hit the jackpot when they signed 22 year-old Kevin Vandersmissen of Belgium to be a part of team LockPRO Elite. The former EPT Snowfest runner-up came out on top of a very tough field of 502 players at the Paddy Power Irish Poker Open this past week, booking the biggest win of his short poker career.

At the final table Vandersmissen had some stiff competition in the form of Ireland’s own Andy Black as well as top poker pro Sam Chartier. Here is a look at the complete final table payouts from the tournament:

UKIPT Nottingham reaches its guarantee

The PokerStars UKIPT made a bold guarantee for the Nottingham stop, a £1,000,000 guarantee on a £700 buy-in tournament! Over the course of the three starting days the tournament attracted huge fields, and the guarantee was easily surpassed. This could very well be a new high for the popular PokerStars UKIPT series, now in its third season.

Brian Lemke claim Borgata Spring Poker Open title

The Borgata in Atlantic City always draws a big crowd for their major tournament series, and the Spring Championship was no exception as the Main Event produced 1,041 entries. The tournament was able to crack the 1,000 thanks to the re-entry format, and it was poker pro Brian Lemke who would be the biggest winner, taking home the $111,076 first-prize.
