The $5,000 buy-in Main Event at the Wynn Classic attracted 242 hopefuls this year, and in the end it was UB Poker’s Brandon Cantu who walked away with the title and a nice payday of $363,844.

Cantu entered the final day with the chip-lead, and was able to hold off some very big names on his way to the title. Erick Lindgren just missed the final table, finishing in 10th place and Tom “KingOfCards” Marchese went out in 4th place. The heads-up battle for the title pitted Cantu against another tournament pro, Jared Jaffee, but it was Cantu who was able to take down the top-prize.

The 3-Day Main Event capped off the nearly 3-Week tournament series which saw players compete in 17 separate tournaments, with buy-ins ranging from $500 to $2,000. Other notable winners were Sorrel Mizzi ($2,000 NLHE) and Chris Bjorin ($1,000 NLHE). One of the best performances was turned in by Keith Ferrara who won the $500 NLHE tournament, and also finished 5th in the Main Event;
