The BBC launched a new series of the very popular show The Apprentice last night, and to coincide with that past stars of the show will be doing battle again at the Fox Poker Club tonight, not in the board room but across the poker tables.

The event in question is the Crestbay Poker Challenge and events have been running since April, and a Grand Final will be held later on this year. Tonight is the turn of The Apprentice and players scheduled to take part are as follows.

The Apprentice attendees at the Crestbay Poker Challenge:
Chris Bates – Runner-up 2010
Liz Locke – 2010 contestant
Paloma Vivanco-Coutts – 2010 contestant
Dan Harris – 2010 contestant
Laura Moore – 2010 contestant
Raleigh Addington – 2010 contestant
Jamie Lester – 2010 contestant
Joy Stefanicki – 2010 contestant
Alex Epstein – 2010 contestant
Howard Ebison – 2009 contestant
Ben Clarke – 2009 contestant
Lee McQueen – 2008 winner

Dan Harris who was on the show last year has had this to say in the lead up to tonight’s event, “The prospect of getting former Apprentice contestants together to do battle once again is very exciting and we are all looking forward to a cracking evening at the Fox Poker Club. The competitive nature of these guys has been demonstrated in Sir Alan’s boardroom, and I cannot wait to see who uses their skills to best effect on the poker table.”

The Fox Poker Club only opened last year but is already hosting some top events, such as the 888Poker Super Stack and the PKR Live later this month. The managing director of the club is Chris North and he is really looking forward to tonight and said, “We’re really looking forward to welcoming the Apprentice group for the Crestbay Poker Challenge. The Apprentice made for some compelling TV, especially in the boardroom and it’ll be interesting to see how the group handle the pressures of a poker table.”

It is sure to be a great night, and I wonder if the contestants will be as bitchy towards each other tonight as they were when they were on the show.
