The ever-growing online poker website, partypoker, sets the date for its next instalment in its Powerfest online poker season. It is due to launch again on the 3rd to the 24th September, and it is sporting an immense $35million worth of guaranteed prize pools for the winners across the tournaments.

To get an idea of how much this online poker tournament series has grown, you just need to take a look at how many different events have been held to this point. The inaugural Powerfest launched in February 2016 and bolstered a $5million guarantee of winnings, following this was a return for the poker festival in May of that year. This time offering a guarantee of $7.8m for its players, this then snowballed onto a $10m event being held in September 2016.

Due to the success of the Powerfest tournaments throughout 2016, it made sense for partypoker to continue with the franchise. The first of these events in 2017 hosted a guarantee of $11million in prize pool money, this then was increased even further again a few months later when partypoker held a $20million Powerfest online poker tournament, which went down an enormous success for the online poker site.

The upcoming $35million guarantee poker tournament is presented as one designed for players of all shapes and forms, allowing any players at any level to enter with buy-ins ranging $5.50 to $25,500. So you don’t need to be an expert or a professional to enter the tournament, even the casual player can enter and play and have fun without completely ‘breaking the bank’.

Across the tournament there are 12 major events taking place, these are commencing on the 10th, 12th, 17th, 19th and 24th of September. Ten of these events are sporting a minimum winnings of at least $1million, which will keep the big-time poker players keen and interested throughout. On the 24th they are introducing a new event in the Powerfest series, it’s the $109 Buy-in Ladies event. As you can tell this event in strictly for females only and has a $10,000 guarantee prized winning pool. It is an attempt by the popular poker site to increase its female following and encourage more women to take part in the online poker tournaments, from Facebook it tells us the partypoker community has 400 female members and this is sure to increase with the beginning of this new female focused incentive.

In the most recent Powerfest ($20m), one event known as The Super High Roller, involved a $3million pay out in a $25,500 buy-in. The Super High Roller was immensely popular and seen a total of 129 entries. This event returns in the upcoming $35million edition and once again hosts a $3million guarantee prized pool money, which will again attract a few of the bigger, more serious players and may even break the entry level recorded from the previous event.

Partypoker have definitely encountered upon a phenomenon here, appealing to all kinds of online poker players from across the UK. The event only seems to be growing in terms of stature and appeal, and this upcoming event is sure to not be the last.
