Poker in Ireland again this Weekend

Irish Poker

Last week the place to be for poker was Ireland. With Dublin hosting the biggest tournament outside of the US. The Boyle Poker IPO came and left Dublin with great success. This years IPO featured 1440 poker players from over 19 different countries. However, this week all the news will be coming again from Ireland, but this time it will be all about Paddy Poker’s Irish Winter Festival.

Paddy Poker’s Irish Winter Festival

This week action moves from Boyle Pokers IPO to Paddy Pokers IWF. However, many of the faces will stay the same. Paddy Poker are expecting some of the biggest poker names from around Europe to feature in the four day festival. Most notable Andy Black, James Akinhead, Neil Channing and Poker News Boys very own Gerry Poltorak.

Gerry Poltorak will be mostly reporting on the event, however might make an appearance on one of the side events, after his fantastic 90th place finish in this years IPO. Gerry will be running constant updates from the Irish Winter Festival from Saturday evening. He will also be looking to get interviews with some of the big names in the event.

Once the Irish Winter Festival gets into full swing you will be able to get update on the Poker News Boy’s Irish Winter Festival Updates page. You will also be able to any previous updates or blogs on the action from the Paddy Poker IWF.

Paddy Poker

Paddy Poker, one of Ireland leading poker websites, are running satellites all the way upto the the start of the main event, as well as running an online IWF for players that are unable to attend. So if your looking to satellite into the main event better hurry as time is running out.

Citywest Hotel

This superb Hotel Citywest is located in Citywest, Saggart, Co. Dublin, just off the Naas Road and 9 miles from Dublin City Centre.  This hotel is very accessible from Dublin’s International Airport, the Luas light rail system, the M50 Roundabout and Newlands Cross.
