Chris Moorman

Chris Moorman has once again climbed his way back into the top 10 in the United Kingdom Online Poker rankings. Username “Moorman1” is a former world number 1, so he knows what it takes to get to the top and to stay there and this recent jump in ranking will be something he is used to. Moorman had a lot of recent success in tournaments this past week, including wins in the $109 NLHE and $215 Monday 6-Max at PokerStars for $2,051 and $24,697 respectively. As well as this he went the distance in a number of WCOOP events, and even a runner up finish in a $20,000 Gtd PLO Powerfest event at partypoker. Normally Moorman would venture his efforts on Americas Cardroom, but has recently decided to make his earning elsewhere, a wise move for the British player as it has seen him get back onto winning ways and a sudden surge in ranking.

Other shifts in the rankings this week include; Jamie O’Connor won the PokerStars Big $325 for a purse of $15,051 which seen him rise several places, another winner this week was Jonathon “proudflop” Proudfoot, he seen gold this week and is currently on for a triple crown after successfully coming out on top in the partypoker $20K Gtd Powerfest event for $4,408 and a $215 NLHE Turbo for $5,804 at PokerStars. Proudfoot also came very close to another tournament win when he came runner-up in the $150,000 Mega Deep XL Eclipse event at 888Poker, he earned himself a whopping $20,250 at this table alone.

The top two spots are currently held by Conor Beresford and Patrick Leonard. “1_conor_b_1” is the top dog at the minute, he is sitting at 1000 points in front of anyone else at this stage and looking hard to catch. One of his latest sieges was a Powerfest event for $14,485, as well as this he conquered 9 four-figure scores in the past week. To top it off he also added $6,559 to his total winnings after coming out on top in the $320 NLHE 6-Max at PokerStars. “pleno1” showed his worth as of late when he won the Big $215 at PokerStars for $13,138 and came second in a $5,200 NLHE Side Event for a major win of $18,500.

A bit lower down there was another surge in the table, when Jason Tompkins went from 18th place to 13th. This was mainly due to his performance in the Big $22 at PokerStars, where he came runner-up winning a pot of $10,852. This recent win seen his total winnings in online poker tournaments rise to the $900k mark, a feat that doesn’t go unnoticed easily.

Other honourable mentions in recent events include Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson winning a steady $7,580 when he came second in the $40k QuarterBack tournament at 888poker. Dara “Doke” O’Kearney also seen gold at a $10k Gtd Powerfest event earning him a sweet winnings of $4,748, Nicholas Newport also enjoyed success recently reaching the final table at the Sunday Million WCOOP edition at PokerStars for $22,672.
