North America to get new poker channel
Poker lovers in North America are about to be told that they are soon to have a new poker channel added to their list of things to watch, CanadianPokerPlayer.TV.
The new channel is to be created by HeadsUp Entertainment Limited and will be purely dedicated to poker, offering viewers the opportunity to get their fix of the game they love at any point in the day and night.
The channel will broadcast live feeds from some of the biggest Canadian poker tournaments as well as a number of ring games that well be played within Canada. The channel will work alongside the Canadian poker room to cover a number of big money tournaments and their action as players look to beat out the field and claim first prize, airing the action after the tournament has been completed.
HeadsUp Entertainment Limited have told how the site will look to track and seek out poker tournaments that are happening within Canada and then will be aired onto their site in order for their viewers to be able to see.
Excitement is starting to snowball within the Canadian borders due to the Canadian Open Poker Championships that will bring in some of the biggest named poker stars in the industry and all the action will be available for viewing right on CanadianPokerPlayer.TV.
Players who are expected to be seen in action on the new channel once it releases include Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Laak, Joe Hachem and Huck Seed.
The buzz that has been created surrounding the new dedicated poker channel has not just been by poker fans who will be looking to watch the action either, the site has backing from the online gambling company 888 Holdings. The company have struck a deal that will see them cover the costs for commercials as well as advertising for the new channel.
HeadsUp Entertainment Limited have told media that the release date for the channel will be placed back until March this year in order to not draw attention away from the public viewing of the Winter Olympics.
