Sunday Brief: Double Holdem, Regional COOP, and more

Another interesting week of poker is in the books, and the past seven days have seen a new game introduced at Party Poker, PokerStars creation of Regional Championships of Online Poker tournament series, and rash of signings at a number of different online poker rooms.

Party Poker introduces Double Holdem

Double Holdem is an offshoot of Texas Holdem with some very unique rules sure to make the game fun and exciting. So far the game has met with good reviews, but only time will tell if we are dealing with the next PLO, or the next 5-Card Stud! PokerStars announces Regional COOP tournament series

For those of you who just can’t get enough of the WCOOP, FTOPS on Full Tilt Poker, and the other major tournament series, PokerStars has just created a Regional COOP where players will compete in a big tournament series with other players from their region of the world.
