It was the week of the poker tournament as nearly every major poker tour hosted a tournament somewhere in the world. We also had the conclusion of the bidding for Peter Eastgate’s 2008 WSOP bracelet on EBay, which reached epic proportions. So here is a look at the poker headlines that dominated the last week.

The World Poker Tour saw Harrison Gimbel capture the first Regional Series title in the tour’s history. Gimbel, the 2010 PokerStars PCA champ, won the WPT Regional Series tournament at the Hard Rock Seminole in Florida. Click the link for the complete story Harrison Gimbel wins WPT Regional Series.

The World Poker Tour also headed off to Morocco for the second-annual ChiliPoker WPT Marrakech tournament series. The Main Event is still being played, but here is the initial recap of Day 1 of the tournament: WPT Marrakech tournament underway.

The PokerStars EPT held its annual tournament series in Barcelona, which attracted a record-setting field. The tournament saw virtually every bug name pro fall by the wayside, leaving a very green group of players to play for the title. For more info on the tournament read our story here: EPT Barcelona Main Event.

Another tournament which wrapped up its third season was the Spanish Poker Tour, which is sponsored by Everest Poker. The SPT Grand Finale saw the ladies come through in a big way, to see what happened follow the link: Women shine at SPT Finale.

Finally we have Hellmuth and UB Poker divorce rumors; Full Tilt’s Rush Poker app being pulled from the Android Market; and an op-ed piece on Amateur poker shows. Enjoy!
