With Mike Sexton making his first ‘open’ final table on the World Poker Tour at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Main Event –bear in mind he doesn’t play a full slate of WPT tournaments due to his broadcast duties—the WPT needed to fill his spot alongside Vince Van Patten in the broadcast booth, which the two have occupied since the very first episode of the WPT aired some nine years ago!

Fortunately for the WPT they added Tony “bond18” Dunst to their telecast –Dunst hosts the Raw Deal segment of the show—so Dunst was able to step into Sexton’s role in the booth according to the WorldPoekrTour.com website. Dunst has performed admirably in his role with the WPT, and apparently the tour officials have a tremendous amount of confidence in Dunst’s broadcasting abilities.

Sexton is entering the six player final table as the short-stack, and there is no official word yet on whether he will join the broadcast team if, and when, he is eliminated, or if Dunst will carry on in his role for the entire final table part of the tournament along with Van Patten.

*UPDATE: Sexton was eliminated in 6th place at the final table when his KQ lost to Mike Matusow’s KJ when a brutal Jack hit on the river. Sexton received $148,000 for his efforts at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star tournament.
