WPT Borgata Poker OpenFor the second time in the past two years Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst has weaved her way to a World Poker Tour (WPT) final table. Selbst will take the second largest chip-stack into Friday’s final table at the WPT Borgata Poker Open, trailing only Cong Pham, who has held the overall chip-lead for the past three days.

Selbst’s previous WPT final table came in December of 2011 when she finished 3rd in the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Poker Classic, pocketing $338k – the sixth largest cash of her career. Selbst will need to finish in first or second place to trump here 2011 WPT final table score.

A victory for Selbst would be a historic moment on the World Poker Tour, as no woman has ever won a WPT Main Event in the 12-year history of the poker tour – a reality that is as remarkable as the PokerStars European Poker Tour (in its 10th season) lack of a two-time champion.

If anyone can get the ladies in the winner’s circle it’s certainly Vanessa Selbst. Selbst is one of the most accomplished poker players of the past five years, with two WSOP bracelets, two PokerStars NAPT victories, and a Partouche Poker Tour victory on her resume; adding a WPT title would cement Selbst as one of the game’s top tournament players. A win would push Selbst’s career live tournament earnings over the $8 million mark according to her Hendon Mob page.

The final table should be a very interesting affair, considering not a single player is nursing a short-stack (Eric Fields is the low-man with a 31BB stack) and three players, Selbst, Anthony Zinno, and Cong Pham, have stacks between 69BB’s and 101BB’s.

Play will get underway at 3PM ET, with the players in the middle of Level 31 of the tournament, with blinds at 50,000/100,000 with a 10,000-chip ante.

Here is a look at the final table seating assignments and chip counts heading into Friday’s action:
