Will “The Thrill” Failla has been on quite the hot streak over the past month. The 2011 Legends of Poker Champion followed up his first major tournament victory with a 14th place showing in the Partouche Poker Tour Main Event, and now he has a chance to become the first back-to-back winner on the WPT as he heads into Day 4 of the WPT Borgata Poker Open as the chip-leader with just 27 players remaining.

Failla was the only player who managed to eclipse the 3 million chip mark on Day 3 of the Borgata Poker Open Main Event, ending the day with just over 3.2 million in his stack. His next closest competitor Doug Kim ended the night with slightly less than 2.7 million chips.

Failla isn’t the only big name still alive in the tournament, joining him on Day 4 will be Matt Glantz (1.9 million chips), Darren Elias (2.5 million chips), “Miami” John Cernuto (1.6 million chips) and Vanessa Selbst (1.5 million chips); all four finished above the chip average which is currently 1.45 million.

The chip leader at the start of Day 3 was another former WPT Champion, David Williams, but Williams’ tournament came to an end late on Day 3 when he was eliminated in 31st place, good enough for a $16k cash.

Here is a look at the current chip-leaders heading into Day 4 of the WPT Borgata Poker Open:

1. Will Failla — 3,255,000

2. Doug Kim — 2,686,000

3. Ricky Hale — 2,554,000
