The first Super-High-Roller tournament post-Black Friday tournament began yesterday and a very respectable field of 29 players showed up with the six-figure buy-in in hand creating a $2.9 million prize-pool. The top five players will be paid, with the winner receiving just over $1 million; the fifth place min-cash amount is $224,160!

17 players made it through to Day 2 of the tournament with Justin Bonomo leading the way with 1,837,000 chips. With the speedier structure just five players have an above average chip-stack, with the top three players, Bonomo, Erick Lindgren, and Vivek Rajkumar well ahead of the rest of the field. Here is a look at the Top 10 chip counts heading into Day 2 of the tournament:

1. Justin Bonomo — 1,837,000
2. Vivek Rajkumar — 1,628,000
3. Erick Lindgren — 1,607,000
4. John Morgan — 1,009,000
5. Randy Dorfman — 968,000
6. Sam Trickett — 626,000
7. Gregory Brooks — 611,000
8. Rick Salomon — 582,000
9. Dan Shak — 558,000
10. Daniel Negreanu — 471,000

Pretty much every entrant in the tournament is somewhat known in the poker world –you sort of have to be to pony-up the $100k buy-in for a poker tournament—but here are the other more notable  players still alive in the tournament: Eugene Katchalov, Gabe Kaplan, Ashton Griffin, and of course Mr. High-Roller Erik Seidel.

Notable eliminations on Day 1 were Phil Galfond, Tom Marchese, Tony G, Phil Laak, Daniel Cates, Abe Mosseri, and Justin “boosted J” Smith.
