With two days of play in the books, 74 of the original 128 players are still in the running for one of the most prestigious titles in poker, the $50k Players Championship at the World Series of Poker. A familiar name sits atop the leader-board in the form of Ben Lamb, who has already won a bracelet and finished second in another event at the 2011 WSOP, but with a long way to go before the money-bubble is even reached things could change very quickly.

Considering the buy-in, as well as the 8-game format, the field is full if the best poker players in the world, some looking to put an exclamation point on their careers; some looking to rekindle their careers a la Mike Mizrachi last year; and some younger players looking to break into the upper echelon of poker players with a big win.

Here is a look at the top 10 chip counts heading into Day 3 of what is scheduled to be a 5-day tournament:

1. Ben Lamb – 704,500

2. Gus Hansen – 688,700

3. Sebastian Ruthenberg – 669,600

4. David Oppenheim – 608,000

5. David “ODB” Baker 482,700
